Demaris L. Meyer will have her day in court, literally. A judge has set a trial date for the lawsuit Ms. Meyer filed against Morgan Freeman in connection to a 2008 car accident that left both her and Freeman badly injured.

On August 3, 2008 Freeman was driving Meyer’s Toyota Camry as the two drove down Highway 32 in Mississippi when the vehicle inexplicably left the road and flipped several times. Freeman , 72, had to be extracted from the car and was air lifted to a hospital in Memphis, TN.

Meyers contends that freeman was at fault for the accident and filed a lawsuit last February, but Freeman continues to deny responsibility.

The trial will begin on August 9, 2010.
