Bosses at TBS have given the go-a-hear for the television version of the 2005 Ice Cube comedy, Are We There Yet?

The cable network, home to Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Meet the Browns, has placed an order for 10 episodes with the option for 90 more if the show does well.

The show, distributed Debmar-Mercury, is set to air in June 2010 with Everybody Hates ChrisTerry Crews taking on the role played by Ice Cube in the original film.

While there’s been no word on who will portray the other characters or if any one from the original film will be involved in this project, look for Ice Cube to pop up in a recurring role on the series.

Crews, who’s starred in a number of big screen hits, will also be putting in work for BET.
His reality show, Crews Control, premieres on the cable network this fall.

Are We There Yet?, which co-starred Nia Long, grossed over $97 million worldwide during it’s run in theaters, pulling in another $3.7 million when it was released on DVD.
