Music mogul Jay-Z, aka Shawn Carter, is reportedly in the process of setting up a stock-based trust fund for Sean Bell’s two children.
Mr. Carter, who recently signed a 10-year, $150 million dollar label/promotion deal with Live Nation through his company Marcy Media, has been working with Nicole Bell, Sean Bell’s widow, to create the educational fund.
Police killed Sean Bell in November of 2006 after leaving a bachelor party in his honor. He was to be married later that day.
Mrs. Bell has worked with the music legend in the past. In 2007 she, along with her children, were featured in an ad for Mr. Carter’s fashion line, Rocawear.
