Judge has Pity on The Game, Dismisses Assault Case

A California judge threw out the criminal battery charges against The Game, Jayceon Terrell Taylor, yesterday (Sept. 30) after the rapper agreed to attend 36 anger management classes.

Mr. Taylor was facing charges for a July 5 fistfight with his cousin, Robert “Kirky” Kirkwood, at another relative’s funeral. The fight stemmed from Mr. Taylor’s failure to help pay for the funeral expenses.

“After failing to pay the $14k he allegedly promised, Game still apparently showed up to his cousin’s funeral last Saturday (July 5), and spoke on the importance of family values. After the service, Kirkwood brought up the topic of the money. According to the police report, Game punched his cousin in the face in response.” (Hiphopdx)
