Tameka Foster had no idea Usher was about to give her the boot.
In legal papers filed by her lawyer in Atlanta on Monday (June 29) Foster, who married Usher in a glitzy ceremony in September 2007, contradicts the R&B superstar’s assertion that they were separated since July 2008 and states they were ‘intimately together’ days before she was served with divorce papers on June 12, and that she had “every reason to believe her marriage was intact.”
Usher, 30, is hoping to share custody of the couple’s two children, 18-month-old Raymond V and seven-month-old Naviyd Ely.
In his divorce filing Usher stated that the relationship was “irretrievably broken” with “no reasonable hope of reconciliation” and that he had been living apart from his wife since last year.
