NBA YoungBoy gets early Christmas present as judge ends 3-year probation

No telling what’s on NBA YoungBoy’s Christmas wish list, but the “Bring ‘Em Out” rapper got some welcomed news when the judge in his weapons case decided to end his probation early.

In a hearing on December 13 Judge Bonnie Jackson put an end to NBA YoungBoy’s 3-year probation telling him, “I see your growth.”

“Most of your problems stem from people in your life who really don’t have your best interest at heart.”

In August 2017 NBA YoungBoy, real name Kentrell Gaulden and also known as Youngboy Never Broke Again, was given a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilt to aggravated assault with a firearm for a 2016 nonfatal shooting case. The judge suspended his sentence and placed him on probation for three years.

On Instagram NBA YoungBoy expressed his appreciation for Judge Jackson’s ruling, ”She gave me opportunity after opportunity,” he reflected, shaking his head. “She really helped me grow. She helped me get to this point, to be honest.”

Echoing Judge Jackson’s advice, NBA YoungBoy ‘s attorney, James Manasseh, said the rapper plans to leave Louisiana, “Being in Baton Rouge isn’t conducive to him being able to grow and move forward.”
