Kenan Thompson continues his reign at NBC with new show

NBC just green lit a new show from Saturday Night Live stalwart Kenan Thompson.

The comedy, titled simply The Kenan Show, stars Thompson as a recent widow raising two kids (Dani Lockett and Dannah Lockett), with his father in-law (played by Andy Garcia) in tow.

It’s not clear what the new show means for Thomson’s role on SNL. According to The Hollywood Reporter Thomson will continue to be part of the SNL cast, but “it remains unclear in what capacity.”

But wait, there’s more. Thomson will also serve as judge on NBC’s comedy competition, Bring The Funny.
