The Players Club actress worries the plastic surgeries made popular by the Kardashians clan are leading some women to have self-esteem and negative body image issues.
“The Kardashian’s have single-handedly changed the woman’s body shape that is acceptable right now.”
“Now it’s a small waist, and all this a**, which look like the ankles can’t even hold up all of that,” she said. “I don’t even want my body to look like that because that’s the body everybody has right now.”
McCoy made her comments during an appearance on FOX Soul Live alongside Claudia Jordan, Syleena Johnson and Vivica A. Fox.
The Kardashians have been heavily criticized over the years of accentuating their features through surgeries and injections to mimic traits of black women, thicker lips; bigger butts. And, arguably, have overdone their body augmentations, becoming life-sized caricatures.
McCoy added that some women will feel like they have to change their bodies in order to get what they want, “Every generation after that feels like that’s what they have to do to secure the bag.”
