South African stand-up special “Kill the Messenger” airs in September.

Chris Rock will be back on HBO this fall with a new stand-up special. The special was filmed during the comics recent comedy tour and will feature performances from three different continents: The Apollo theater in New York, South Africa’s Carnival City Casino and the Hammersmith in London, England. “I wanted to do the type of stand-up special that I’ve never seen before, and the only place that I could see doing that is at HBO,” says Rock. “Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger” will debut on September 27.
