A video posted on Tuesday, March 14, received unexpected attention as fans of Young M.A expressed concern over the yellow tint of the whites her eyes. In the video, Young M.A, born Katorah Kasanova Marrero, is seen in a barber’s chair as she goes through a makeover.
Fans were quick to noticed her sclera, the whites of her eyes, were a shade of yellow, leaving some to alarmed about her health, “Praying for her, hopefully it’s not Jaundice.. her eyes have that yellowish tint to them.”

The yellowing of the sclera, the whites of the eyes, is typically caused by jaundice and can be the result of kidney failure, hepatitis, gallstones or a tumor.
While the 30-year-old rapper hasn’t addressed the video or speculations about her health, she has, in the past, discussed using alcohol to treat depression. In a 2018 episode of Viceland’s ‘The Therapist’, Marrero talked about using alcohol to cope with depression as a teen, “Drinking a bottle of Absolut and just crying my heart out and just not understanding what the hell is going on. I was just acting out. I ain’t wanted to carry on with life, I didn’t know what to do.”
