Look for Mary J. Blige on the big screen this fall. The R&B songstress has been cast in Tyler Perry’s upcoming film, I Can Do Bad All By Myself.

The film, adapted from one of Perry’s stage plays, is a family comedy and a continuation of Perry’s Madea series – his last Madea film, Madea Goes to Jail led the U.S. box office with over $41 million in ticket sales when it debuted in February.

Blige, who’s appeared in a number of television shows over the years (Ghost Whisperer, Entourage) and the 2001 cable TV movie Prison Song, will star alongside Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson, though no details were given as to how big a role her character will play in the film.
