Family, friends and celebrity well-wishers greeted Andre Harrell when he returned home from the hospital last weekend.
The New York Post’s Page Six reports the 48-year-old former music exec underwent emergency quadruple heart bypass surgery because of coronary artery heart disease. Among his well-wishers were Chris Rock, Mary J. Blige, Lyor Cohen, Jay-Z and Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, who got his start in the music business as an intern for Harrell in the early 90s at Uptown Records.
A source who was at the homecoming told Page Six, “Andre said he was happy to be alive and happy to have all of them as his friends, particularly Sean Combs, who was there at the hospital when he was put under for surgery, and there when he came to in the recovery room.”
