A coroner in Leeds, England has ruled the death of Jason Rae, the husband of singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae, an accidental drug overdose.

Mr. Rae, who played the saxophone, and Mrs. Bailey Rae, 29, met at a jazz club in Leeds, where she worked as a cloakroom attendant. The two were married in 2001.

“My husband is my first and only true love. He is the most beautiful and complex person I have ever known. He is utterly irreplaceable.”

Police discovered Mr. Rae’s body in his Hyde Park home back on March 22. In his official report Coroner David Hinchliff noted that Mr. Rae had alcohol and methadone in his blood along with traces of cocaine and ecstasy.

Jason Rae was 31.
