It’s been weeks since rapper Lil Reese was shot in Country Club Hills, a suburb of Chicago. While the rapper did survive the shooting he was left unable to speak. It will be another two months before he may be able to use his voice.

Neither the shooting nor his injury has stopped the rapper from being in the studio. He has let the world know that he is collaborating with Murda Beatz by whispering on different tracks.

Reese, real name Tavares Taylor, updated his followers on his renewed work ethic, “I been waking up 6 am everyday checking to see if my voice back I pray this Sh*t just come over nite….!”

He also jumped on his Instagram with a couple of updates, writing, “Voiceless rite now I lost my voice I didn’t lose my life god is good 🖤”. And posting a photo of his injury with the caption, “Made 4 it Lifes a gamble I got hella luck 🖤 “, telling fans in a different post that even though he has no voice right now he’s grateful to God that he’s alive and that what doesn’t kill you will make you stronger.
