Former Roc-A-Fella Artist Tru Life Arrested on Murder Charge

Rapper Tru Life was arrested for the murder of one man and the attempted murder of another during a fight in New York.

Born Roberto Guzman Rosado Jr., Tru Life, 33, is accused, along with his brother Marcus, of stabbing 20-year-old Christopher Guerrero to death during a physical confrontation in the lobby of a Manhattan building; a knife wound to his stomach ended his life. Guerrero’s friend, Jason Gray, also suffered serious injuries in the June 15th altercation; he was stabbed in the chest but survived. He’s currently in critical condition.

According to the ‘News Marcus Rosado surrendered to police at his attorney’s office Wednesday night (June 24).

Tru Life was signed to Jay-Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records in 2005. During his stint on Roc-A-Fella he released no official albums but managed to release two less-than-memorable mixtapes before being released from the label in early 2009.

Tru Life is charged with murder, assault and weapons possession. He’s currently being held at Rikers Island prison.
