‘Black-ish’ star Anthony Anderson is pushing back against claims that he assaulted a woman over a year ago.

According to a statement by the LAPD to Us Weekly, Anderson is the subject of an ongoing investigation based on a complaint filed by an unidentified woman, who catered an event for Anderson. The unidentified woman claims the assault took place during a meeting to discuss future work.

The LAPD declined to go into further detail about the allegation.

Anderson’s rep shot back, releasing a statement to Us Weekly, “It is unfortunate that anyone can file a police report whether it is true or false. The authorities have not contacted Anthony or any of his representatives about this matter. Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim.”

In 2004 Anderson, 47, and assistant director Wayne Witherspoon were accused of forcing sex on a woman working as an extra on the film ‘Hustle and Flow’ several times in a trailer during production.

A judge during a preliminary hearing throw out the case stating, “This is absolutely the most suspicious case I’ve ever heard.”
