Dennis Rodman lucked out this week as a Florida court awarded he $7,500, the balance owed to him for a paid Super Bowl party appearance.
The former NBA star, who’s made a career out of appearing in reality TV show, struck a deal with the unnamed Tampa club to host their Super Bowl party for $20,000, but he sued after he said club owners neglected to pay him in full, stopping payment on a check for the remaining balance.
The owners claimed they stopped payment because Rodman ran up a $10,000 tab (something they hadn’t agreed upon) and that he ducked out of the event early.
But because no one from the club ever responded to the lawsuit the judge granted a default judgment to Rodman for the full balance due.
