Whoopi Goldberg is among the stars joining Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of The Muppets in NBC’s holiday special “Letters to Santa — A Muppets Christmas.”
Former “Sopranos” stars Tony Sirico and Steve Schirripa have also joined the cast, along with “Harry Potter” alums Richard Griffiths and Madison Pettis. Songwriter Paul Williams, who wrote music for 1979’s “The Muppet Movie“, will do the same for “Letters to Santa.”
This will be the Muppets’ first TV appearance since 2005’s “The Muppets’ Wizard of Oz,” which featured singer Ashanti, Queen Latifah, “Arrested Development‘s” Jeffrey Tambor and director Quentin Tarantino.
