As if Vanessa Bryant hasn’t gone through enough this past year, she is now dealing with a mother who’s decided to air out their personal struggles in the public eye.

In an interview with Univision TV Bryant’s mother, Sofia Laine, claimed her daughter has effectively evicted her from the Bryant home, even taking away her car.

In the Spanish language interview Laine told host, Dave Valadez, that she was kicked out of the home after Kobe’s and granddaughter, Gigi’s deaths in January. “She told me, ‘I need you to get out of this house.’ She also told me that she wanted her car and she wants it now.”

Bryant responded to the allegations, stating that she disappointed by the actions her mom has taken, and that she has supported her mom for over 20 years and continues to do so, “My husband and daughter passed away unexpectedly and yet my mom has the audacity to do an interview on TV talking negatively about me while shedding tears about a car and home that wasn’t in her name.”

“She has removed all her diamond jewelry, emptied her apartment that I provide, and put the furniture in storage to appear as though she is without support,” Bryant said.

“My husband and I have financially supported her over the past 20 years, and I continue to do so, in addition to her monthly alimony.”

Meanwhile, Bryant filed suit against the L.A. Sheriff’s Department over unauthorized photos taken by Sheriff’s deputies of the helicopter crash scene where her husband, daughter, and seven others were killed.

The lawsuit claims that the sheriff engaged in a cover up after it was discovered that at least one deputy was showing off photos of the scene, including charred bodies, at a bar.

The unnamed deputy is alleged to have shown the photos to a woman in hopes of impressing her. A bartender overheard the conversation and notified the Sheriff’s department.
