Nicki Minaj shocks everyone with baby belly debut, as she and Kenneth Petty expect first child

If critics thought Nicki Minaj was joking about wanting to start a family, they got their answer. Minaj revealed on Instagram yesterday that she is very pregnant.

Minaj captioned the first of three images of herself with a visible baby bump, #Preggers.

Cradling her belly in another photo, lounging on a pink couch, Minaj wrote,

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes. 💛”

Minaj’s announcement caught fans by surprise. This is the first child for Minaj and her husband of 10 months, Kenneth Petty.

Last year, shortly after her out-of-the-blue marriage to Petty, Minaj announced plans to retire and focus on her family.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,”

Her retirement was short lived, she was featured on a track with Tekashi 6ix9ine just last month, but is intent on starting her family.
