Lil Rel Howery is dealing with baby mama issues after finding out the mother of his 2-year-old son has been telling some serious lies, leading the Get Out star to ask a judge to grant him sole custody of his son.
In court filings Howery claims LeChez Davis told him she was divorce when they met. The two dated and produced a baby, which Davis told Howery was his. But Howery later discovered Davis was still married and that she told her husband he was the father of the child, going as far as adding her husband’s last name on the birth certificate.
According to TMZ, Howery only learned the truth after he posted a picture of his son on Instagram. Someone who saw his Instagram post contacted him with the news that Davis’ husband was actually the child’s father. This prompted Howery to demand a paternity test. The test results came back last month, and it proved Howery was the child’s father.
Now the comic is hoping a judge will grant him custody, calling Davis’ actions a, “nefarious scheme replete with concealment, misrepresentations and deception in an attempt to defraud.”
If the judge sides with Howery, his son, who currently lives with his mom in Illinois, would relocate to California to join Howery.
