Slick Woods, the model who gained recognition as the face of Rihanna‘s Fenty Beauty, hitting the catwalk for the music sensation’s brand even whilst pregnant, confirmed via Instagram last week that she has been diagnosis with stage three melanoma.
The 23-year-old Woods is receiving chemotherapy treatment to help fight the skin cancer and is keeping her spirits up. Posting to Instagram a photo of her dancing with friends, with the caption, “How I feel about chemotherapy, shout out to everyone that gotta go through it #atleastimalreadybald”
In another posts she told fans, “Stop treating me like a victim.”
Woods’ strong spirit should come as no surprise, she went into labor whilst she was walking the catwalk in a Fenty Beauty fashion show. To which she again took to Instagram saying, “A lewk, 14 hours of labor, and A king is born. This is the face of a WOMAN in labor, we hold sh*t down most of us don’t even know how much we’re going through, I’m here to say I CAN DO WHATEVER THE F*CK I WANT WHENEVER THE F*CK I WANT AND SO CAN YOU.”
