To the shock of his fans, Bill Dee Williams star of Lady Sings the Blues, the Star War Trilogies and the first Batman movie, has come out as Gender Fluid.
Williams made the announcement in Esquire a few days ago to the praise of many, describing himself as both “feminine” and “masculine.”
“I never tried to be anything except myself,” Williams told Esquire in an interview published Tuesday. “And you see I say ‘himself’ and ‘herself,’ because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine,” he added. “I’m a very soft person. I’m not afraid to show that side of myself.”
A person who is gender fluid doesn’t define himself or herself by gender. the 82 year-old, who will reprise his role as Lando Calrissian in the new Star Wars movie out December 20th, was thrilled to hear that Solo star Donald Glover who played the younger version of his character in that movie, described Calrissian as pansexual, meaning he was attracted to any and everything, “Really? That kid is brilliant,” he told Esquire.
