German Extras Sue United Artists Over 'Valkyrie' Accidents

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise’s latest film “Valkyrie” is off to a bad start, and it hasn’t even hit the theaters yet.

Several actors injured on the set of the $100+ million dollar film have filed a lawsuit against the production company, United Artists.

In the suit eleven German extras, who were hurt while filming the World War II flick and are seeking $11 million, claim the studio knew the vehicles they were assigned to drive were unsafe.

According to German magazine Der Spiegel, while the actors did sign waivers, those contacts would be voided if their attorneys could prove malice.

Valkyrie” opens December 26.
