Black Thought putting on master class for aspiring MCs at Carnegie Hall

Hip-Hop icon Black Thought is gearing up to lead a free multi-day master class for aspiring MC’s.

The course is being offered as part of a series of workshops for young professional musicians by The Weill Music Institute of Carnegie Hall.

The Roots front man will be assisting up to 10 MC’s from ages 18-35 with lyricism, flows, style and delivery. Attendees will explore the history of hip-hop and also get private coaching to improve their artistry.

“School of Thought:A Hip-Hop Master Class Featuring Black Thought” will present a showcase of the participants on the final day of class, February 5. Tickets for the event at Weill Music Room in Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing go on sale on December 11, 2019 and will be priced at $20.

Registration for participants begins on December 6.. You can sign up at Carnegie Hall’s website. The program will run from February 3-5, 2020.
