Cardi B and her daughter Kulture will be featured on one of the January 2020 covers of Vogue, making Cardi the first female rapper to cover the American Edition. In the article she opens up about her career, motherhood and her relationship with her husband, Offset.

Cardi explained in the interview why she chose to stick with her husband through the cheating scandal, telling Vogue:

“When me and my husband got into our issues, you know, he cheated and everything and I decided to stay with him and work together with him.” She went on to say, “People that be in marriages for years, when they say till death do us part, they not talking about little arguments like if you leave the fridge open.” She says that they prayed about it as a couple and even consulted with a priest.

The New York rapper is working on her second album, which is set for early next year. She describes the process as scary as she reflects on how successful her first album was. “The first time it was just me being myself,” she says, “I didn’t even care if people was gonna like it or not.”

Cardi says that while she and Offset are rarely in the same city, they are still trying to figure out how to settle into family life together
