The maroon-clad Riley, with backup musicians and dancers on-hand, had technical difficulties and just couldn’t get things going. The two music legends did manage to get in a few jabs, with both holding their own as the played hit after hit. But problems with Riley’s internet set up was too much. Babyface ultimately stepped in to put Riley out of his misery, “Tonight was really special … it’s only right that we postpone this thing and do it at a time when there aren’t any technical difficulties and everybody can hear the music the way it needs to be heard.”
Soon after, the jokes came. Black social media made the best of a bad situation at the expense of Riley… but all in good fun:

But it was Spice Adams’ reenactment of the battle is a pretty good recreation of the events of 4/19 for those who missed it:
