Update: UK Police, Friend , Upset by Lily Allen’s kidnap Comments

Lily Allen

Yesterday we reported about the rescue of a friend of English Pop singer Lily Allen from the hands of kidnappers by London’s Metro Police.

On Tuesday (Sept. 3), while hosting the GQ Men Of The Year
Awards ceremony in London, Ms. Allen told the audience about the kidnap capper and went into some detail about the incident.

Ms. Allen’s friend, known only as Charlie, was taken at gunpoint from his job and, along with a fellow employee, stuffed into the trunk of a waiting car. The two were held captive for a week before being rescued by police. Ms. Allen praised the police for doing “an incredible job” and told award attendees some details of the crime that police would have preferred her not to.

Charlie and police officials have condemned the pop-tart for her comments because the defendant have yet to go before a judge with and Scotland Yard’s former police commander, John O’Connor, has said her comments could end up jeopardizing the case.

Also at the award show Ms. Allen, who was visible inebriated, traded insults on stage with music legend Elton John. Before presenting the Inspiration Award to 82-year-old Tony Bennett, while sipping champagne on stage, Ms. Allen announced:

Lily: “Now we reach a very special point in the evening,”
Elton: “What, you are going to have another drink?”
Lily: “F— off Elton, I’m 40 years younger than you, I have my whole life ahead of me.”
Elton: “I could still snort you under the table.”
Lily: “F— off. I don’t know what you are talking about.”

When introducing Tony Bennett Sir Elton mentioned the singer’s age, to which Ms. Allen replied, “I’ll still f— him.”

*In yesterday’s story we mistakenly referred to Charlie as a woman, he is in fact a man.
