Radio network, Cumulus, which broadcasts ‘The Michale Baisden Show’ nationally, locked radio personality Michael Baisden out of his studios this afternoon.

The lockout comes after Baisden announced he was taking a self-imposed hiatus starting April 1. Cumulus brass apparently decided to hurry Baisden’s plans along by shutting down the live broadcast of his show effective immediately. Stations will instead broadcast prerecorded Baisden shows.

Shortly after the lockout Baisden took to the internet to address fans:

“All their action does is make me more determined then ever to come back. And next time there will be no middlemen between me, my affiliates, and my listeners. Lesson learned! Now it’s time to get to work on the comeback… and I’ll be kicking butt and taking names when I return. I’ll miss you family, stay tuned to Facebook and Twitter for my daily inspiration post and updates on the return of The MB Show! The journey continues!!!”
