Elijah Moore’s dog-pee celebration leads to wild finish to Ole Miss-Mississippi Egg Bowl

Elijah Moore's dog-pee stunt

College football, or football in general, on Thanksgiving is just as traditional as turkey and dressing. But yesterday was a bit wilder than usual, especially at the Egg Bowl game between Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi.

While full of highlights, it was a play at the end of the game that left fans in the dog house, when a dumb mistake by an Ole Miss player cost them the game.

The Rebels, down 21-14 late in the fourth quarter and driving. Thanks to a couple of calls that went their way, they were able to get to the RedZone with one last play to tie the game.

They would convert with four seconds left and score what looked like the tying touchdown but wide receiver Elijah Moore took the touchdown celebration a bit too far.

After the touchdown, Moore would raise his leg like a dog and pretended to be doing well you know in the Dawgs endzone which cost the Rebels a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty which push an easy extra point back a few yards — those few yards cost Mississippi the game as they would miss the extra point that would have tied it.

The Rebels lost the game 21-20. The ending was so shocking that social media was abuzz with shock and laughter from fans and media across the country.

What was Moore thinking? Didn’t he learn anything from McCringleberry?
