Box braids and lace fronts, Bhad Bhabie goes in on “black females” calling her hair style cultural appropriation

Danielle Bregoli rose to fame after appearing on the Dr.Phil show with her mother and uttering the catchphrase that she would become known for, ”catch me outside.” She has never been shy about her feelings towards anyone whether that’s fighting with Woah Vicky, throwing a drink at Iggy Azalea, or insulting Nicki Minaj, she speaks her mind.

Recently Bregoli, who’s now a rapper and goes by Bhad Bhabie, posted a picture to her Instagram debuting a new hairstyle, box braids. Bregoli immediately came under fire by people of color calling her a ’culture vulture’ and accusing her of ’cultural appropriation.’ Bregoli, 16, didn’t take kindly to the backlash, addressing “black females” critics, “…guess the f**k what y’all hair [ain’t] meant to be straight but y’all glue whole wigs on to your heads and sew Brazilian/Indian/ Peruvian hair which [isn’t anything] like your natural hair texture at all and I don’t say a god d*mn thing neither do the other cultures that you get the hair from.”

She continues, “I completely agree that it would b out of line and cultural appropriation if I was trashing black girls for wearing braids [then] getting them but that’s not the situation at all so leave me tf alone or imma start getting real disrespectful.”

One user did comment that perhaps she faced backlash because of all the tomes black women get sent home from school and work for such hairstyles while women that aren’t of color are praised for the hairstyle rather than being ridiculed.
