Lanez blamed it on the alcohol, saying, he was “drunk” the night to the incident.
“I was just too drunk… None the less s**t should have never happened and I can’t change what did. I just feel horrible. Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk.”
Lanez confession comes weeks after Meg named him as her assailant and tearfully described how people connected to him were spreading false claims about what happened.
Meg explained she did not out Lanez as her shooter the night of the incident because she feared that police might have harm him.
Meg was shot in the foot during the early morning hours of July 12 after leaving a party in the Hollywood Hills. Lanez was arrested and changed with felony gun possession after a traffic stop the night of the shooting. Lanez was not charged with the actual shooting, but that may change and could lead to major prison time.
Lanez said he apologized to Meg via text. Allegedly. And you could almost imagine R. Kelly‘s I Can’t Sleep Baby playing in the background as he hit the send button.
