Meg provided details about the shooting on Instagram live Thursday night (Aug. 20), bluntly naming Lanez as her assailant and suggesting, Tory’s publicist, at his direction, have been spreading misinformation about what happened that night.
“Yes … Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and your people going to these blogs lying,” the 25-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Megan Pete, said in an Instagram Live video. “Stop lying. Why lie? I don’t understand.
Shots rang out at a party in the Hollywood Hills the pair attended. Meg and Lanez sped away, but were pulled over by police, is not clear what motivated the traffic stop. During the stop, police found a gun in the vehicle, driven by Lanez. He was arrested, but was eventually able to bail out.
Meg explained why she didn’t initially tell the LAPD who shot her, “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble,”
Meg is speaking out now because she’s tired of the “lies” Lanez team has been spreading. She concluded her night on social media on Twitter, writing, “Lie one more time and ima quit sparing you.”
